Started dancing at the age of three. She started taking ballet, tap, jazz, and flamenco, and has been competing in national competitions since she was four. At the age of eight, she decided she wanted to learn folklore Colombian dancing and spent five years dancing with a Colombian folklore dance group before deciding to take up salsa lessons. Amy has been dancing with Baila Conmigo since 2012. She was a part of our famous Children/Juniors group and won first place in the World Latin Dance Cup with the group in 2012, 2013, and 2014. Amy has been a two time world champion at the World Latin Dance Cup in the Juniors Female Soloist division for the years of 2014 and 2015. She also had the privilege of joining the group on the Radio City Music Hall stage while competing on America’s Got Talent. Since then she has been training with our Professional group and has traveled to places such as Los Angeles, Miami, Israel, Colombia, and Puerto Rico for her love of dance. At only 18 years old, she’s accomplished many goals in her dance career and claims that teaching in our studio is yet another accomplishment.
